Last friday and over the weekend the Portuguese Association of Cosplay (Associação Portuguesa de Cosplay - APC) attended a fair dedicated to tourism (Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa). As a member of the APC, I was invited to participate in the 3 days we were there and help spread Cosplay as an activity of the Japanese pop culture. We were always 5 cosplayers at Japan's stand (organized by the Embassy of Japan in Portugal) and for 1 hour we talked about cosplay, took pictures and answered question from curious people. It is always an interesting event, because the vast majority of people have no idea of what cosplay is so we have to have a different attitude than we have at events devoted exclusively to Japanese culture.
